As a CPA and former public accounting senior manager, I was trained to look beyond what was being presented and ask:

But I also bring something the spreadsheets could never teach me, and that is lived experience.
I know what it is like to work hard, carry more, prove yourself, question yourself, burn out, redefine success, and eventually realize that the way you built one chapter of your career may not be the way you are meant to build the next.
