International Women's Day 2022

One year ago today I released my memoir – Redefining Her, My Journey to Self-Acceptance and Love (Happy Birthday). This has now evolved into The Redefining Her Movement, a movement on a mission to empower and equip other women to:

- Redefine and Own their story,

-Leverage their intrinsic value, and

- Be the solution they were created to be.

One of my foundational beliefs is that we were all created to be a Solution and to create progress for someone outside of ourselves. Being that solution hinges on the story that we tell ourselves about who we are, what we are capable of, our view of the world and our place in it.

There is a God Plan for each and every one of us. Our personal brand is the expression of that God Plan.

As women, while we encounter bias (subconscious and conscious) from many angles which makes it difficult to move ahead, what we often fail to address is how our own beliefs about who we are impacts how we show up in the world (an area where we absolutely have control) and which also impedes our ability to successfully move ahead. Our beliefs inform our thoughts, and our thoughts fuel our habits. We are each responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every single day. Our habits and actions then directly impact our personal brand ( and how others connect with us).

On this Women’s International Day (and each day forward) my hope for you is that you are:

Encouraged to find the gems in and embrace your story because there is VALUE there and you are VALUED,

Empowered to walk in your POWER (you have it within you), and boldly conquer the obstacles we continue to experience such as Bias. Stereotypes. Discrimination. (Just to name a few), and

Equipped to be the solution that you were created to Be.

Reminder to be intentional about curating an aligned and powerful Personal Brand because it is the vehicle through which you will have the privilege of expressing your unique solution.

Here is to REDEFINING Your Story so that you can Be the Solution you were created to be and in the process create a better world – Together we can.
